The History of Horticulture in Limbach

The Beginnings
The beginnings of horticulture in Limbach date back to 1996. At that time, we began cultivating vegetable plants and balcony flowers on a plot of land with the historical name "Augarten," as the capacity of the small greenhouse in Pezinok, where we originally started, was no longer sufficient to meet the demand of our steadily growing customer base.
March 1999
The construction of horticultural buildings was gradually expanded.
A greenhouse was built at the end of 1998, followed later by another. The horticultural business subsequently focused on its own production of balcony flowers and chrysanthemums.

Sales at trade fairs and local markets
Trade fairs and sales at local markets in Pezinok and Bratislava offered the best profit opportunities. Wholesale operations were discontinued after several unpaid invoices.
mai 2001
Opening of a retail store in Limbach
Direct sales of horticultural products and customer acquisition through high-quality plants became essential. To further expand the horticultural business, it was necessary to increase the number of customers. With the opening of a retail store in the late 1990s, we took advantage of this significant business opportunity.
october 2012
Gradual decline of the business in Limbach
Between 2004 and 2010, we experienced a boom in the opening of hobby markets in Bratislava, which attracted a large portion of our customer base. Our loyal customers continued to enjoy visiting our store, but the decline in sales became noticeable, and we began to consider changing our sales model and closing the brick-and-mortar store in Limbach.
March 2014
E-shop, online sales, and shipping as the optimal solution
In 2009, we launched the first version of our online shop. At that time, our main product was lesser-known table grape varieties. Our commitment to an innovative approach paid off once again. This success motivated us to acquire additional plant varieties with the necessary market potential.
You can become part of our history. We look forward to a future full of shared successes and continued independence.
Priorities in the horticultural business
We have always set our priorities in advance. Without them, a successful business is not possible. And not only in horticulture.
Customers in the spotlight
Our customers are our top priority. We listen to their needs, understand their challenges and work tirelessly to provide them with products and advice that meet their expectations. Their success is also our success.
Plant quality is our win
We pay attention to quality tirelessly. We set high standards for the quality of our plants to ensure customer satisfaction. Quality is not discussed with us.
Focus on innovation
If the competition is not sleeping, then we cannot sleep either. The constant search for new types of useful plants has completely absorbed us. We are happy that our competitors follow our website and are among our customers.
Always honest
Integrity is the basis of trust. We do not work in such a way that one day we claim something and the next day it does not apply. Our business is transparent, we do not want to lose our good reputation.
